Bosnia and Herzegovina Airport Bus and Shuttle Guide: Routes, Schedules, Where to Board

Each airport handles buses and shuttles a little differently. Here is the fast summary with direct links to official pages and what to do when you land.

Sarajevo

Where to board
Turn left as you exit arrivals and look for the blue Centrotrans coach. Buy at the kiosk inside or pay the driver in cash BAM.
Stops near Baščaršija in the old town. Most hotels are a short walk or a quick taxi ride.

What to know
If you land very late, use a taxi or a private transfer. Drivers usually wait for delayed flights.

Banja Luka

Where to board
Walk straight out of arrivals to the bus stand. Look for the Smiljić shuttle minibus. Pay the driver in cash BAM.
Drops at Banja Luka Bus Station. From there it is a short taxi ride to most hotels.

What to know
The shuttle runs on flight days. Always check your flight day.

Mostar

Where to board
Find the white MostarBus shuttle outside arrivals. Pay ten KM per person to the driver.
Drops at East and West Bus Stations. Old Bridge is about ten minutes by taxi from either stop.

Tuzla

Reality check
There is no official airport city bus at the terminal. Use a shared shuttle or a taxi.

Shared shuttle
Pre book at airporttransfers.ba. Drivers meet flights and drop at your address.

Taxi
Use the signed rank outside arrivals. Ask for the meter with Molim, taxi metar.

FAQ

Can I buy bus tickets with a card?

No. Pay in cash BAM. Some drivers accept EUR but change is in BAM.

Do the buses run after midnight?

Usually not. Late arrivals should use taxis or pre booked transfers.

Are the shuttles accessible?


Most are not. Contact the airport or the operator in advance to arrange help.

Will shuttles wait if my flight is delayed?

Sarajevo and Mostar buses usually wait. Shared shuttles are tied to your flight and wait. If nobody is present, ask airport staff to call the operator.

Is there storage for large luggage?

Yes, each airport shuttle has space for bags.
